Debian vs rpm updating
The examples in this tutorial use a Fedora 20 system unless otherwise noted.
RPM, YUM, and APT (for Debian systems) have many similarities. Information about installed packages is kept in a database.
On RHEL, Cent OS or Fedora, for v6 LTS: RHEL 6 is no longer supported through EPEL, you can however use Red Hat Software Collections.
The setup script will check and provide instructions if it is not installed.
